Hard to believe, but I actually got the van back this AM already-- axle not cracked, so regulation (risk mgmt) reinforcing kit installed. Several other recalls we had never heard about-- also checked/fixed. (Frame!?!?!?!?)

I decided to make a non-customary grocery stop for the vittles I'll take on board. Delighted to find a conversion van sitting out in front when I came out, of an age we could afford, and with nice people inside. They indulged me in a great Q&A supporting my contention that a used one in good shape CAN be found, affordably, and that is DOES make a HUGE difference to be able to stand all the way up, inside it as the 5'11" driver assured me!

Theirs even came WITH a foldout bed!!! They'd paid $2,000 at 125,000 miles on it. It now has close to 180,000 and has not needed any major engine or transmission work.

Frabjous joy! And no they were not selling it-- wouldn't part with 'er.
