For what it's worth, the credit for this song on the Alex Glassgow LP "Now and Then" says: Trad arr. D. Fanshawe.

Presumably this is the David Fanshawe whose "African Sanctus" was very popular around the late Sixties (and was famously featured in the film "If"). He also worked on the TV series "Flambards" with which Alex was involved.
