There was an interesting item on BBC2 Newsnight last night about the demise of bullfighting. Seems that not only is it dying out through lack of support, in Barcelona it is about to be banned.

I have long regarded bullfighting as one of the cruellest sports on earth. Thank God that common sense is at last starting to prevail.
