Thread Name: Kendall's new country song
Subject: RE: Kendall's new country song
Yuck, that's not what I'd call good country, at all.

And, the no good music since 1973 completely leaves out the stuff we were playing at KVOC AM Country Radio in Casper, WY by Chris LeDoux, Don Edwards, and a slew of others. ALL great country and western.

Some examples: Rose-Colored Glasses. Not by the original artist that I remember, but check out that 70s suit!

This one was played a lot in the late 70s/early 80s. Here it is done by EmmyLou: Save The Last Waltz for Me.

And, Don Edwards sings old and new, but wasn't really well known until the 80s: Desert Night.

And, maybe because I met him when he was first starting out, bringing his albums to the radio stations, himself, I'd challenge anyone to claim Chris LeDoux isn't GOOD country-western. Caution, there is a song playing automatically at that link, BUT there is a control bar at the bottom of your screen. BTW, I do prefer his earlier albums which were more acoustic, but he still wrote and sang damn good country songs, imo! Remember Five Dollar Fine for Whining?
