Sadly, Fran Minkoff is no longer with us.

A search of the Social Security Interactive Death Index revealed she died April 22, 2002 at the age of 87. It's a shame that nobody seemed to know about the loss of this fine lyricist and that, apparently, nothing was published about her when she passed away.

Her husband Harry died only a few days ago, on June 4, 2011 at the age of 97. His obituary was published in the NY Times on June 10.
