Well, not completely different. Clichés about cities or countries are the dayly bread of authors who have nothing new to say. Misspelled name-dropping (see Saint-Germain-des-Prés) adds to this impression, and to the suspicion that Lord Burgess's calypsos are not all that authentic either.
