Steve Benbow used to sing the "One wore blue and one wore grey" version regularly at the cellar Folk Club in Greek Street, Soho, London, mid-1950s. Not sure if it is on any of his LPs ~~ the discography on his Wiki entry only gives titles, not details of tracks.
