Don't know if anyone remembers the film A Canterbury Tale (1944). I saw it only the other week on YouTube.

One of the main characters was an American, John Sweet. He wasn't then an actor but was in the military.He was chosen to play someone from the military for the film.

He died on the 5th July, aged 95.
