If you have to visit the same page repeatedly (because it's an index or search page), even a nice tune soon becomes grating, like Chinese water torture, and often I'm browsing many pages at once. Too often "web designers" don't think about the consequences of their choices (or they would severely cut down on the music, animation, blinking, popups, surveys, hover actions, large background images...) Have some respect for users instead of trying to FORCE unwanted content on them.
