It is not the aggregate tax paid by the rich that matters - it is (a) the real average tax rate (that is to say tax pro rata to true income - and none of the bastards disclose true income, that is what accountants are for) and (b) marginal actual tax rate - which is also skewed by tax avoidance.

Both should be higher than for any other taxpayers. In the real world they aren't.
