You're both wrong. Penicillin was discovered in 1811 by an African Chimpanzee named Wongo. He was a distant relative of Chongo. Wongo discovered penicillin while trying to find tasty bugs in hollow logs. After diligent investigation he decided that penicillin, while interesting in its own right, was pretty much useless to Chimpanzees. He made some brief notes in his journal about it and pursued the matter no further.
