I wouldn't say it is a particularly good area for folk venues. There are monthly singaround format clubs scattered around but you need transport and keep track of dates. For my own main (session) folk interests, I have to travel to Norwich to find them.

Views depends on what you are looking for. I quite like the bleakness of the North Norfolk coastline but it is quite a contrast to North Wales where I lived before.
