HUge watermelons are a wonderful thing in a large household, a company picnic, or a hootenanny. But in an ordinary household they have to constantly be taken out of the fridge, small slices taken off and then pout back into the fridge with Saran Wrap over them. A large watermelon can last a week this way in a small household, and a huge one, two or three weeks. The labor in moving it around is enormous!!
However it shares the advantage that it can suck up a half-gallon of vodka without leaking.
