Thread Name: Anyone know Orlando guitars?
Subject: RE: Anyone know Orlando guitars?
I have also been fortunate enough to have an Orlando 305 fall into my hands. My daughter's brother-in-law had given it to her for her kids (my grandkids) to play: he had never played and knew nothing about it. When I found it, my grandkids had almost trashed it: broken the top at the front, and the bridge was coming off. I "disgustedly" took it from her and told her I would try to fix it and give it back to her kids when they would respect an instrument more. I was able to fix it easily, and you can barely tell it was damaged. So I put a set of cheap nylon strings on it, and started playing around with it. The more I played it, the more I liked it. Not only did it play like a dream, it sounded awesome. Now, I keep it hanging in my tv room, and get it down often while watching tv and just mess around on it, playing along with commercials and practicing. The more I play this guitar, the more impressed I am. Just a sweet mellow tone, and fairly decent volume when you want it. What a find! My grandkids may well have to wait to get this back as part of their inheritance!
