I'll go you one better...a few years ago I saw a bar band musician with a 1960 Stratocaster--that should be worth about $30,000, folks. It had a very unusual, uneven brown colour. I asked him about it and he said, "yeah, my son borrowed it for the weekend, didn't tell me he was going to do a Jimi Hendrix treatment, with the lighter fluid and all..."

I believe he has no son now, and got a suspended sentence for justifiable homicide...
