I just came across a great recording of this song on Marty Kohn's The Hat Album. It brought up two questions: - Is the song traditional, or is it a Randy Sparks/New Christy Minstrels creation? (YouTube)
- What the heck is a muley cow? Lots of songs use that term.
Please enlighten me.
