Subject: RE: BS: Fish recipes
I'd like some advice. I'm no good at cooking fish.

A couple days ago, I thawed some salmon and baked it following the directions on the package. When it was done, it had many unappetizing blobs of white stuff all over it. I tried to remove them, but not very successfully.

This is not the first time I've had those icky white blobs.

How does one keep that from happening?

By the way, here's a good thing to do with the salmon in the summer. Make a salad containing:

salmon chunks with the blobs wiped off
a can of garbano beans, rinsed
fresh tomato
leaf lettuce
small amount of onion, chopped fine
any other salad things you'd like - radishes, cucumber, etc

You can make a dressing of two parts oil to one part lemon juice with a little dried dill in it.

Or you can buy a jar of marinated artichokes and plop the whole thing in, thus supplying the dressing (ie, the marinade) with no work.

It's nice, but it gets pretty expensive.
