Here is a very simple batter that I have been using for a while. Think I found it on the internet but not sure. Maybe a magazine. I also tried it a few weeks ago with clams deer fried. Just perfect.

1 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of water
1/4 cup of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt

try it. I bet you will go back to it.
