I always figured we could prevent earthquakes -- the ones caused by a sudden release of pressure along a fault line, anyway -- by lubricating the place where the tectonic plates come together. Then they could slide smoothly, a little each day, instead of getting hung up and then releasing with a jolt, which is what an earthquake is.

Thus if this father sky/mother earth thing were true, then (not wishing to get graphic here) he would --um-- the liquid which --er-- well, there would be all the lubricant you could ask for, and thus no earthquakes.

Thus I must respectfully say I don't believe your hypothesis.
