I am pleased to report there is still such a thing as a really good restaurant experience to be had in California. Birthday dinner at Ruth's Chris restaurant across from the Maritime Mueseum, looking out over the harbor. Friendly, courteous, intelligent, impeccable appointments, and terrific service, and the best filet I've ever eaten. Seriously fine dining. So now I am a year older. And free to liquidate my IRA! Watch out world!! :D
