Yes I too used to have someone to lie down in the mud and hold the ball for me when I used to do the kicking.

On occasions I used to return the favour for other kickers - never liked that.

Nowadays they have nice flat pitches, a light ball with no lace and a "spider" to tee up the ball. Oh and they have infinately better boots too.

I can't understand how anyone can miss. But miss they do - just shows what good kickers we were ........!!!
