London has its good points, though I got out of it 15 years ago as I felt I was too old. Ok for visiting, but not living in or driving. When my daughter was living in Brick Lane, I remember telling my wife that (because it was just as stressful being a passenger as driving) that next time, if she insisted on taking the car, I'd take the train and meet her there. I used to miss a lot of shows, exhibitions and games in London because you feel that they'll always be there, and it's too much hassle just now making another cross-town trip! I only ever got to the National Gallery once I'd left. I hated working in Westminster, though the City was a lot friendlier.
