Looks like Zeke will be here for a day or two more, what with long days and hospital visits. This way Susie doesn't need to drive back down here to let him out and feed him. The weather is lovely so it's perfect play weather for that backyard pack.

I fertilized and watered the vegetables this morning - now that everything is into growth spurts. I made room in my garage for the neighbor's old grill and my first project will be grilling some of my veggies - peppers and onions - to make salsa. I don't have any of my own tomatoes yet, still hoping for some, but I've discovered that when the veggies are grilled the smokey flavor in the salsa is fabulous. I need to get a tank, but a place has been recommended so I'll get it later this week. This is a welcome addition to my domestic operation!

I've cleared my sewing area (a computer had sprawled on the far end of the table) and started on the mending that has piled up. When this is finished I have several new projects to work on.

Kat, now that you have this Dragon speaking software going, are you going to do the NaNo(?) November novel? What a great way to both master the software and get another story down on paper. I heard an NPR interview last week with a woman whose novel that is out now (and optioned for a film) was written during one of those Novembers.
