I've not been all that fit the last few weeks, with a complaining back, and now my right knee feeling sore, so I've had to miss the local walks for two weeks. Did give it a try today, but had to pull out as they were going down into the valley, which would have meant climbing up again.
For a while I didn't feel like cooking, and that leads to a bit of a vicious circle of energy loss, but I'm back on that again. Yesterday was an overgrown courgette stuffed with lentils, bulghur wheat and cheese, with herbs together with grilled tomatoes from the garden. Today was runner beans sliced narrow and eaten like spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce (that was out of the larder). While I've been off cooking, there's the Chinese takeaway in the village (and the Indian and the kebab and pizza places, but I don't feel those are so healthy) and ready meals from the Co-op or Waitrose.
I've also been decluttering the yarn stash by making stuff on circular knitting looms (did I mention that before?). I've made a child's hat, several scarves in fashion yarns, umpteen string bags, and am currently working on a lacy white scarf, and taken them all down to the charity shop.
Also doing digital art work on photos to mount in cheap picture frames from the charity shop to return to them for sale at a higher price. Unfortunately, the slide and negative scanner has broken, so I am confined to photos from the digital camera, and not many of them are suitable for the treatment.
We had a setback with selling my Dad's house. The one at the other end of the chain dropped out - poor person had a bipolar episode (we are wondering if the bid was made during a high), and everything stopped. Fortunately, the other family who wanted Dad's still does, and have offered us more, today. Sadly for the people whose house they were nearly ready to exchange on.
And I've had two people interested in mine, one who can do it in 4 weeks.
