Mary, make simple syrup and simmer your berries in it. 1 cup of water brought to a boil, add 2 cups of sugar, stir to dissolve and let it simmer a minute or two, then add as much fruit as you think looks good in it. Very simple process. And I envy you your huckleberries. I sometimes would make muffins with red and blue huckleberries for a great July 4th look. :)

Zeke is back for doggie day camp and I sent Susie off to work and the hospital with a muffin in hand.

Out to the garage to work on the new grill, and plan a trip to the store for a filled LP tank. I'd love to cook outside this weekend! BTW: did you know that those tank exchange stations outside of stores are only required to fill the tanks 3/4 and they can call them "full?" The guy at the LP business told me that. His company supplies a lot of the other suppliers in the area, and my friend who is being foreclosed upon told me about this place. He also said he'd give me a scale to measure the tank when I come back for my tank - then before I start some big project I can check to see if I have enough fuel.

I still have some things to move to the greenhouse, but you know how it is - when you've looked at things in the same space for a long time they're almost invisible. Identifying the items that can be moved is half the challenge.
