There was a report that Max had to make some emergency equipment substitutions so a "lesser server" might have something to do with it.

Also, I first noticed a delay in responses a little after the most recent off-line event, so there may be "repairs in process."

It looks to me like the bottleneck is in the server queue, since I get a rather longer "waiting for response from mudcat," message than usual; but the transmission speed seems normal once I get to the top of the lineup. That might be helped if "somma youze guys" would go away and reduce the traffic density, but that never worked when I suggested it to the drivers in the next lane on the Seattle freeways, so I suppose it's not worth even a finger salute.

I haven't looked at what kind of traffic load has been hitting here, but the time-lag between posts looks fairly normal, indicating not much change(?).
