There's always an online market for recordings. Just depends on how you get the site - and therefore the buying opportunity - placed out there.

As far as a voice or repertoire "appealing" to certain sets of people, well... all I would say is: sing what you really want to sing - what you enjoy singing - and let people decide for themselves. You know the saying - "To thine own self be true"...
