In which case I would make the following suggestion.

Be careful you don't go down the
celtic woman road.

Celtic woman is a product and a cliche and has a particular look and sound that has been manufactured and airbrushed to the point of utter sterilization.

Find a good bouzouki, mandola, oud, harp, banjo etc etc player.

Keep it raw and stripped down. A good voice shines better under such circumstances.

I've always preferred a Matt finish to a Glossy one.
