Back in 1971, the Combined Actors of Cambridge did a 'hippy' version of AYLI in Selwyn College Gardens. I was invited to be Amiens [the character in the Exiled Duke's forest court who sings most of the songs], & musical director, setting the words to traditional airs. I set Under The Greenwood Tree to The Gentleman Soldier, Lover & His Lass to The Little Beggarman, Wedlock Hymn to Kelvingrove, Take No Scorn to Hal-An-Tow, &c. Subject of this thread, Blow Thou Winter Wind, I found went v nicely to Here's Adieu Sweet Lovely Nancy.
