Shane has been trying that old gambit of taking (approximately) half of a $20 bill to the store or the bank, taking (approximately) the other half of the same bill to another place, and thus turning it into $40. Kind of like what the bankers themselves do, only he doesn't get away with it for some reason...and if he did, it would be on a much, much smaller scale.
