But I gather from context that you are about the age of Eliza, who happens to be the daughter of two of my oldest friends, though both some years younger than me. I am, to be precise, just a few days over 79 & 6 months - 7 years older than Norma & 9 than Martin; so not likely to be around to plague you for too much longer. Meanwhile, just for a little while, go away and leave me to live out what can't be more than my few remaining years in some sort of tranquillity.
