I would agree with checking out Live 365, as mentioned by Bruce above. I have a foot both in the trad camp and in the newer one. I think there's room for everyone. However, it seems that folk alley will only play traditional songs if backed by electric guitars and a drum section and the newer "folk" doesn't fit what I think of as newer folk. That's my problem, I know. My friend, Joel Mabus, once described what he did as "music generally recognized as folk." And he does both ends of the spectrum, I like that but it's unwieldy.
