Subject: RE: Tune Req: black soldier and Mountain men Song
Well there's the "Marching Song of the 1st Arkansas Negro Regiment" that was sung to the tune of "John Brown's Body" or the "Battle Hymn" or... It starts out as Oh we're the bully soldiers of the 1st of Arkansas, We are fighting for the Union we are fighting for the law, We can hit a rebel further than a white man ever saw, As we go marching on. Glory, glory hallelujah....(you know how it goes)

It should be in one of those CW songs sites. I know it's in Irwin Silber's book,"Songs of the Civil War" that I'm always harping about. It should be in any library. If you can't find it anywhere give a holler back here and I'll type it in I guess.
