Janie, all you say is true. I don't think Wesley meant any harm and there are no incest jokes on his list. I know a bunch of computer professional happy to call themselves Rednecks who would use at least 30 items on that list to describe themselves.


Have you seen the movie, The Shipping News? read the book? It totally exploits and reinforces every bad stereotype about my people.

I don't really know why I am saying all this except to say that I know how you feel.

With Newfie Jokes, I repeat the ones that make us look good and ignore the ones that make us look bad. That is also what my redneck friends do with the jokes about them.
