To Do List: police the property (i.e., scoop the poop).

It goes in the compost, and if I'm going to empty the kitchen compost bin (I let it stew for a little while and then pour it into the middle of the big pile out back) I always make a big bucket of dog-droppings tea and pour that on the pile after the decayed food stuff to keep the dogs out of it. It works quite well.
