I think my favourite was from the London Times many, many years ago. The newspaper reported on a tour through London by Queen Victoria... it should have read "From her carriage, Queen Victoria waved to the crowd as she PASSED over London Bridge..."
No doubt many people wet their pants when they read what was published!!!
