Thread Name: Lyr Req: The Cowboy and the Senorita (Roy Rogers)
Subject: ADD: The Cowboy and the Senorita (Ohman/Washington
Here's the version in the beginning of the movie:

THE COWBOY AND THE SEÑORITA
(Music by Phil Ohman, lyrics by Ned Washington)

The cowboy and the señorita
Met in Rosarita one night, not so long ago;
The cowboy and the señorita
Made the night much sweeter with words like "I love you so."

[bridge]
He said life on the range is such a lonely life;
Won't you pack up your shawl, acquire a drawl, and be a cowboy's wife?

They married, and their plans all carried;
They've a little cowboy, and oh what a kid.
Why don't folks do like
The cowboy and the señorita did?

[bridge]
He said, "Don't send me back, Back to that lone prairie;
I've got a saddle for two, for me and for you, come ride away with me."

They headed toward the church and wedded,
Bought a little rancho, and that's where they hid;
Why don't folks do like
The cowboy and the señorita did?

...and the version at the end of the movie:

THE COWBOY AND THE SEÑORITA
(Music by Phil Ohman, lyrics by Ned Washington)

The cowboy and the señorita
Met in Rosarita one night, not so long ago;
I kissed her, and she whispered, "Mister,
Take me to your airy old prairie, I love you so."

[bridge]
There life is sunshine and full of laughter,
They'll be happy forever after.

Why don't you come along where the air is sweeter,
With the cowboy and the pretty señorita?

Cute movie. I watched the whole thing. Off the subject, Colorado features Roy Rogers as an Army intelligence lieutenant.
