They had me placed in a small outdoor pavillion right next to the big concert hall where Ray Charles was scheduled to perform at the same time I was to be on.
While pondering how to get out without being seen, two of the Irish Rovers came along, Jimmy Furgerson and Joe, the bass player. We talked a while, (I had to promise not to let on who they were) and I told them what the schedule maker had done to me. Furgerson said, "Lets hope you dont hurt him too bad!"
As it turned out, there was a large number of people who didnt go to Charles' concert, but, in fact came to mine!
