Thread Name: Origins of Saga of Daniel (bawdy prose)
Subject: RE: Origins of Saga of Daniel (bawdy prose)
I recall a lad having a version as his 'party piece' in fthe NAAFI bar in Germany in the early sixties , which started with Daniel being in the Wilderness and meetung 'The aiden with the flaxen hair who said unto Daniel "Wilt thou lay with me this night in yonder field ?" And Daniel said " Verily I Will !" for she was a comely lass . So Daniel lay with her that night and slipped her on and off like a well worn Sea Boot .
And it came to pass that forty later Daniel again came upon the maiden with the flaxen hair ,who said unto Daniel " I am heavy with thy child , what steps wilt thou take?"
And Daniel did reply " Sodding great big ones" and disappeared back into the wilderness !
And it was for this misdemeanout that Daniel was cast into a Camel Stable full three cubits deep in Camel droppings .
And it came to pass that the King came to torment Daniel , but Daniel espied the King approaching from afar and seized a lump of Camel dropping and hurled it at the King catching him full in the eye
"Shot" cried the King ! " Shit" cried Daniel , and that night the King bought the beer .
