All of our grains are the product of selection, crossing and re-selection; GMO in the slow lane.
The same is true of our common fruits and vegetables.

Our oceans are already depleted of fish stocks, altering the ecology of the seas. Fish and shellfish farms are the future, to keep up with the rapidly expanding (out of control?) population.

What is needed are government departments with the scientific know-how to oversee the genetic modifications that are introduced into production.

Railing against the future of food production in word and song is Ludditic and pointless. Agitating for proper oversight is required instead.
