Here's a recent note from FaceBook:

As many of you know, Alex has been at the VA hospital in Memphis TN since the week before Christmas. Yesterday, Alex's medical conference was held and the bottom line is that he will discharged from the VA on Valentine's Day-what a present for the two of us!!

Until that time, if people want to visit him at the VA, it's best to do so after 3:00 pm Monday through Friday or on the weekend.

He continues to work hard in therapy and is still seeing progress in his recovery. Please keep him in your prayers that he may finally get to come home after seven and one-half months in four different hospitals! We can not begin to tell your how much you love and support have meant to us.
