I have not noticed you in the audience of any of my gigs, including ones local to you, including Tenterden Festival

Really? You actually came up and spoke to me after a Tenterden concert. I couldn't say much more than "Hello" to you at the time as I was deep in conversation with Paul & Liz Davenport. We were also booked at that festival and had a very heavy schedule, so we could not pick and choose where we would be over the weekend.

You berated me on this forum for not attending your booking at The Lewes Saturday club and I had to explain to you that I actually had a gig myself that evening with the Sussex Pistols - though why you should think that I had an obligation to attend to see you, I fail to understand.

I still consider it a prejudgement not to listen to a video or audio of any artist[whoever they are] if you are an organiser.

I am trying to take this comment seriously when I ask you if you really expect me to listen to every performance by any artist [whoever they are] just because I happen to find a link to them on Mudcat, Youtube, Facebook etc. just because I am an organiser. Believe me, life is too short even if I wanted to.

in a period of 35 years you booked me once

I explained carefully to you after your most recent request for a booking, the methods of our two committees and why we would not be booking you. What else do you expect me to do? However much you consider yourself worthy of a booking, you have to accept what I have explained to you.
Dick, other people are reading this. I don't feel that you doing yourself any favours in the way you are dealing with this.

Incidently, how many other organisers are still at it after more than 35 years (actually it is nearer 45) of running a weekly folk club. Comments like those of yours to me on this thread aren't exactly encouraging.
