She wound her way through the man-stones piled in rows. The only ones giving her notice were the four black horses steaming their breath at the gates. They stomped their hooves to threaten her, but they were in no danger, they were not the prey tonight. One of the two-legs was resting on the horses box, and spoke sharply to them to quiet.

She waited. Using the time to clean the blood from her claws, and to watch.

The last two-leg was easy enough to catch. A female. She wore so many cloaks that the creature simply toppled her over and feasted. It was over before the creature's breath fog had faded from the tavern window. The two-legs ran like deer in the forest; dodge, weave, dodge....so predictable. She grinned again, tasting the blood on her paws. The cold copper smell reminded her of the warm meat in her stomach.

She rounded one of the man-stones and startled to see the woman before her..........
