wonderfully easy on the ear.

Mar 15th * £7.00 * JUDY COOK
Yet another touring American, Judy lifts the spirit and entertains with
splendid traditional ballads and songs from a huge and varied
Anglo-American repertoire.

Mar 22nd * free admission * TUNE & SONG SESSION
Will Duke & Dan Quinn lead an evening where English dance tunes are
interspersed with songs. Come and join in the tunes or offer some songs
or just listen!

Mar 29th * £7.00 * PETA WEBB, KEN HALL & SIMON HINDLEY
Two remarkable singers who draw their repertoire from songs learned from
British traditional singers and from early American country music with
some lovely accompaniments from Simon's guitar.

Apl 05th * £7.00 * JEFF WESLEY
Retired farm worker from Northamptonshire whose mellifluous voice is
able to project all that is worthy about English traditional song.

Apl 12th * £8.00 * ANDY IRVINE
A man that has played with so many fine top groups – Planxty, Sweeney's
Men, Mosaic, Patrick Street. A rare chance to see him in an intimate venue.

Apl 19th * £7.00 * JIM MacFARLAND & JERRY O'REILLY
Two of Ireland's finest singers come over for a short tour. They feature
a range of the very best in the Irish repertoire from the pastoral to
the political.

Apl 26th * £7.00 * MIKE GULSTON & BLANCHE ROWEN
Two excellent singers who draw their material from English, Welsh and
French sources. Mike is a talented multi-instrumentalist on a range of
string instruments.

May 03rd * £6.00 * MANDY MURRAY, BEN PALEY & JIM BURCH
A really memorable evening in prospect with the most vibrant local
musicians in Irish music and song with Mandy on concertina, Ben on
fiddle and Jim on guitar.

May 10th * £7.00 * ROSIE DAVIS, JOE LOCKER & BOB WINQUIST
An English woman, a New Yorker and a Canadian combine to bring us the
very best in bluegrass, old timey and early country music on fiddle,
banjo, bass and guitar.

May 17th * £8.00 * JOHN KIRKPATRICK
One of the most talented and popular performers that we are able to
present at the Royal Oak, John is a master of a range of free reed
instruments and the outstanding singer of English traditional songs.

May 24th * £7.00 * BAYOU SECO TRIO
We are delighted to be able to welcome back Ken and Jeanie from Silver
City, New Mexico bringing us their superb range of music and song from
the south east of the USA. On this tour they are joined by their godson,
fiddler Tomás Wentz.

May 31st * £6.00 * DENISE & STUART SAVAGE
An evening with these two great local favourites who are able to present
a varied evening that is both interesting and delightful
