Okay, just talked to his nurse and to Tom.

Looks like he's not going anyplace today and probably not tomorrow.

Tom sounds a lot better than even the last time I talked to him earlier this morning. I'm taking his amber goggles and his talking clock to him when I go. Got a few more things I want to do around here before I head over. (Like take another batch of shortbread out of the oven -- a friend is coming over tomorrow morning to fix the cellar door that Tom broke the last time he fell. He's been lucky. Up until Wednesday night, each time he's fallen he's only broken inanimate objects.)
