Well, actually you're trapped in an aeroplane which is spiraling earthwards, out of control, with no hope of stopping it and no parachute. The doors are sealed shut since the flight attendants parachuted a few minutes ago so you can't even get a drink before you reach terminal velocity and then a terminal cessation of the downwards motion.

Or you might be in New Brunswick, which is almost as bad.
