Just called Tom to find out if he was still awake and to say "Goodnight" (again) and found out he is IN TRANSIT to a room on the cardiac floor...out of the ICU!!! Yeehah!!!

The nap was good -- I was awakened after two hours by my sophisticated black lady cat, Sabine, sticking her cold nose in my face and insisting that it's been waaaaaay too long since she's been petted.

Computerized, made myself some supper, talked to Tom, then called a friend in Ontario whose birthday I sort of missed the other day and we yakked for over an hour, getting caught up on life, the universe, everything.

Going to wrap up things here, shut down the downstairs, and call Tom again, as he'll probably be situated in the new room and still awake.

I think I'm doing a bit better than I was earlier.

I just did something I've never done before -- I watered my brandy. What's this world coming to?!?
