I had a nice evening- went to a posh event at school. The donation I made put me in the A-list for this year, and the event was a reception the night before the annual art glass sale. It is something to behold. I saw a piece I really loved but it was too high - of course, after I walked past it a guy picked it up. He was very nice "I waited, gave you a chance to pick it up!" I was right to pass on it, but I do regret. Maybe next year. Anyway, I did find a less expensive lovely piece that will be the tray that my mail sits on. Fused glass is pretty amazing. I took my friend who I helped move last fall - we were able to visit with quite a few Friends of the Library members we knew there, and some of the Deans and faculty. It was funny - at one point someone walked up to my friend and asked "what are you a Dean of?" He was quick - "me!" It's his name, not his title. :-D
