Penny, I know we both speak English, but I have no idea what you're describing in that paragraph! Do you have a dresser in your garden? You talked about drawers for potatoes - what is a "revetment" between gardens? And will the back of a dresser now not be used, but instead you're putting in logs? I can't imagine a place that takes either a plank or logs.

No dresser, if what you mean is something like a Welsh dresser with shelves above a sideboard.

The bath panel is a bit of timber about 2 ft by 5 ft, which has been along the side of the bath, hiding the base and the legs, which will make a sort of fence. This fence will be between a lower and a higher part of the garden, holding back the earth on the upper side - being a revetment, which is usually a wall holding back a terrace.

The builders' merchants sell strips of half logs about 2" wide, various heights, joined by wires, for making edges to beds in gardens. I was going to use these for the revetting, as that is what was originally there. They are now rotten, and going to feed the chiminea. You can see them in the photos here:

Garden as was.

The bedheads have 2" by 2" supports at each end, topped by balls on turned "stalks", with balustrades between them, about 2'6" long, and with a row of slender turned spindles. They look quite pretty either side of the steps up into the higher part of the garden.
