High on the bluffs of Torrey Pines, in the golden glitter of a sun setting over the wide Pacific, stands a luxurious retreat called simply "THe Lodge". It house an elegant restaurant where the tables look out over the green of TOrrey Pines Gold Course and the far expanse of ocean. They have bustling, intelligent waiters and a grand wine list, first-rate entrees, and a beautiful ambience in which BBW and I dined last night in celebration of thirty-three years of marriage. We were all self-congratulatory and happy and full of warm affections. It was a really fine evening.

We went home afterwards, retired full and happy, and slept until morning, when we went back to work.
